Sporting KC Returns from Road Trip

Sporting Kansas City News Release


Following a two-game road trip from the West coast to the East coast, Sporting Kansas City will return home for a two-game home stretch. Sporting KC will first face the Dayton Dutch Lions at 7:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday at LIVESTRONGSporting Park in the quarterfinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

Sporting Kansas City will then face the Chicago Fire at 7 p.m. CT on Friday at home. Friday's match will be nationally televised on the NBC Sports Network and locally broadcast on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Sporting Kansas City will train Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Sporting Club Training Center in Swope Park. The team will hold their weekly press conference with Manager Peter Vermes and a player at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the training facility.

All Sporting Kansas City training sessions during the 2012 season are open to the public unless noted otherwise, and media are encouraged to attend for video, interview and photo opportunities. Cal Williams will host the State Line Soccer Show at 6 p.m. CT on Thursday on 610 Sports Radio.
