Real Salt Lake News Release
SANDY, Utah (Monday, June 25, 2012) - Real Salt Lake (10-5-2, 32 pts.; West #2) resumes training Tuesday at America First Field in Sandy at 11:00 a.m. MT, with media availability immediately afterwards for Head Coach Jason Kreis and the roster. RSL will also train at 10:00 a.m. MT Wednesday at the Sandy venue before departing Thursday for Columbus, leading up to its ninth road match of the season against the Columbus Crew (5-5-4, 19 pts.; East #6) - a recent MLS Cup Playoff and CONCACAF Champions League rival - Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. MT (LIVE on CW30 with the 30-minute RAM TRUCKS post-game show; Bill Riley & Brian Dunseth on the call).
The Claret-and-Cobalt - which dropped back-to-back home MLS matches last week for the first time since October, 2007 - travel to Ohio with an overall 4-2-2 road mark in MLS play this season, just five points shy of the club-record 19 points accumulated away from home in both the 2010 and 2011 seasons. RSL GK Nick Rimando and the RSL defense have not allowed a road goal in 315 minutes during its current four-game road unbeaten streak, both marks the second-longest in club annals (344-minutes in Aug./Sept., 2010; 9 games unbeaten on road from Aug. '10-April '11).
Despite the disappointing one-goal losses Wednesday to Los Angeles and Saturday to San Jose - which leapfrogged RSL to move one point ahead in the Western Conference standings, RSL's current 10-5-2 mark / 32 points mark the franchise's best-ever record and point accumulation through 17 games.

On Saturday, July 7, RSL welcomes yet another West opponent, Portland Timbers FC, to Rio Tinto Stadium, with kickoff returning to its normal 7:00 p.m. start time.
