BOISE - "Oh say can you sing - Do you have what it takes to sing the National Anthem at Memorial Stadium? Have you always wanted to be a Public Address Announcer? The Boise Hawks are searching for the best music and voice talent in the Treasure Valley!

The Hawks are holding tryouts for National Anthem singers, Public Address announcers, and On-Field promoters on Saturday, June 2, from 9-11 a.m. at Memorial Stadium, located at 5600 N. Glenwood Street. All singers and musicians are welcome. Tryouts are open to the public; and singers, announcers, and promoters can show up any time between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. There is no pre-registration required, and no age limit to participate. Each audition will take place in front of the Boise Hawks staff, and selected candidates will earn a chance to perform or announce in front of thousands of fans during one of the Hawks 38 home games during the upcoming 2012 season. Selected candidates will be notified by phone.

The Hawks, in their 12th season as an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, open up the 2012 Northwest League season on June 15 at Salem-Keizer, with their Memorial Stadium opener on June 20 against Eugene.
