Boise Hawks to Host Blues Brews & BBQ June 9

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise Hawks will be hosting their annual "Blues Brews & BBQ" on Saturday, June 9th, at Memorial Stadium.
Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $15.00 (including a tasting mug and two sampling tickets per brewery) and $7.00 (a free non-alcoholic drink and ice cream). Kids five-and-under will be admitted for free. BBB will also be raising money for the Idaho Humane Society's Pet Food Pantry, as those bringing a bag of cat litter, cat food, or dog food will receive $2.00 off their admission.
BBB will feature eight bands from the Treasure Valley throughout the day - including Heff & Friends, Innocent Man, Phantasmagoria, Next in Line, The Marshall Poole Band, Lori B!, Bart Barber Blues Project, and The Blues Addicts.
Eight breweries will have their products available for sampling, including Sockeye, TableRock, The Ram, Highlands Hollow, Grand Teton, Payette, 10 Barrel, and Crooked Fence.
Four local barbeque masters will be grilling at the stadium - including Idaho BBQ, Rolling Hawg Smokers, MickeyRay's, and Baldy's.
Great kids activities will be available including bounce houses and obstacle courses throughout the day.

The Hawks, in their 12th season as an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, open up the 2012 Northwest League season on June 15 at Salem-Keizer, with their Memorial Stadium opener on June 20 against Eugene.
