MISSOULA, MONT. - The Missoula Osprey announced details today for one of the most unique promotions in all of professional baseball, Float to the Game on July 29. Fans will need to pre-purchase a package for the float.
Floaters will be taken from the stadium to waiting rafts that will take them on a guided float back to the stadium along the Clark Fork River, which will begin at 1 p.m. Upon arrival at the stadium, the lucky fans will be fed a BBQ meal with all-you-can-eat Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Salads, and Chips. Fans will then take their seats to watch the Osprey take on the Great Falls Voyagers. All participating floaters will also get an Osprey cap and program.
Float to the Game is presented by 10,000 Waves Raft and Kayak Adventures and The Trail 103.3.
Space is limited to the first 75 participants. All participants must be at least 5 years of age or older. No flip flops, or personal tubes, rafts or floatation devices will be allowed. The Osprey do advise fans who participate to bring sunscreen and sunglasses, wear comfortable clothes, and keep in mind that their clothes and shoes may get wet during the float.
For more information, visit the MSO Hub Box Office at 140 N. Higgins, or call (406) 543-3300 to reserve your spot.
The Osprey open their 2012 season at Billings on June 18, then return home for their Opening Weekend at home against Great Falls on June 22-24.
