Riverfront to Host Multiple High School Baseball

Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks, members of the Northwoods League, have announced that renovated Riverfront Stadium will host two additional high school baseball tournaments this year, along with the Bucks Baseball Cedar Valley Metro High School Tournament which was announced last week. The Waterloo Bucks Pre-Season Classic and the Waterloo Baseball Bash will call Riverfront Stadium home in 2012.

Three teams are scheduled to participate in the 2012 Waterloo Bucks Pre-Season Classic, which will occur on Friday, May 25. Dike-New Hartford H.S., MFL MarMac H.S., and St. Ansgar H.S. will face each other in the triangular. Game one begins at 2:00 pm as Dike-New Hartford will take on St. Ansgar. MFL-MarMac will play Dike-New Hartford in the 4:00 pm contest. The day's final game will take place at 6:00 pm as MFL Mar-Mac locks horns with St. Ansgar.

The 2012 Waterloo Baseball Bash will occur on Saturday, June 23. Lake Mills H.S., Mt. Pleasant H.S., Roland-Story H.S., and Union H.S. will all play in the traditional four-team, four-game format. Action begins at 11:00 am with Roland-Story facing Union. At 1:00 pm, Mt. Pleasant will take on Lake Mills. The consolation game is scheduled for 3:00 pm with the championship contest taking place at 5:00 pm.

Ticket pricing for all four tournaments will be the same: $6 Adult All Day Passes; $5 Student All Day Passes; ages 5 and under are free.

The Bucks will open the 2012 season at home versus the Rochester Honkers on May 30 at 6:35 pm. The game will be aired live on 1650 The Fan.
