NAPA Auto Parts and Auto Care Centers "Race for the Pennant" Returns and Rafters to Offer New Openin

Wisconsin Rapids, WI- May 11th, 2012. The Rafters announced today that the NAPA Auto Parts "Race for the Pennant" on-field promotion will be back in 2012. The team also unveiled a NEW Opening Day ticket package offer.

Once again, Kids 14 and under can sign up at any local NAPA Auto Parts or Auto Care Center to be chosen to come down on the field between innings during select home dates to race one of two NAPA Auto Parts mini cars. The mini cars will be pushed by the contestants and the first to reach Rafters' mascot Rosco P. Rafter and a member of the Rafters staff will be the winner.

NAPA will also be the presenting sponsor of many other exciting events throughout the year at their local stores and at the ballpark, including a tin lunch box giveaway on August 4th. Visit your local NAPA Auto Parts Store or Auto Care Center for more details.

The Rafters also announced they have partnered with Marshfield Clinic to offer a special Opening Day ticket package. For only $10, fans will receive a ticket to the May 30th game against the La Crosse Loggers, a Rafters hat, and full-sized youth bat, all courtesy of the Marshfield Clinic. This offer can be purchased online by clicking on the "Group Portal" link on the top of www.raftersbaseball.com and entering the group password "rafters", by calling the Rafters office at 715-424-5400, or by stopping into the Rafthouse at Witter Field. The offer will be available until supplies last.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Rafters will play a 70 game schedule with 35 home games in 2012. Opening Day at historic Witter Field is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30th at 7:05 pm against the La Crosse Loggers. Available quantities of all promotional giveaways will vary from event to event and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
