Blue Bombers Add Draft Pick Thomas, Non-Import Defensive Back West

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed non-import defensive lineman Jake Thomas, one of their fourth round draft picks in this year's draft, along with non-import defensive back Dan West.

Thomas (6-2, 270, Acadia, DOB: December 16, 1990 in Douglas, New Brunswick) played in all eight games last season and finished second in the AUS conference with nine sacks, on his way to being named a second-team All Canadian for his efforts. The two-time AUS All-Star played for Team Canada at the 2011 IFAF World Championship in Austria and won a silver medal.

West (6-1, 195, Bishop's, DOB: September 3, 1986 in Ajax, Ontario) played in 28 games over the last three seasons at Bishop's University and recorded 91 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble as a linebacker.
