
Greene Drives In Two As Barons Beat The Suns 5-2

Birmingham, AL - Justin Greene drove in two runs and Pedro Hernandez picked up his third win of the season as the Barons snapped a two-game slide against the Jacksonville Suns, winning 5-2 in front of 2,985 fans at Regions Park.
The Barons took an early lead against Suns starter Zach Neal (2-3, 3.41), scoring three runs in the third on a Tyler Saladino sacrifice fly, Drew Garcia triple and a Seth Loman RBI groundout to score Garcia from third.
The triple was the 3rd of the season for Garcia and the 17th for the Barons who lead all of Minor League teams in triples this season.
A Justin Greene double off the wall in left plated two more runs in the fourth, giving the Barons a 5-0 lead and knocking Neal from the game. Greene would finish 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI.
Barons starter Pedro Hernandez (3-1, 3.00) picked up his third win in his last three appearances allowing two runs on eight hits and striking out four in 7.1 innings.
The Barons will look to make it two-straight tomorrow night as Simon Castro (1-1, 4.65) takes the hill against Graham Taylor (1-1, 4.09). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM CT.
