
Sound Tigers See 17.7% Attendance Increase in 2011-12 Season

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (May 3, 2012) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers experienced a 17.7% increase in attendance during the 2011-12 regular season, the fourth highest increase among 30 teams in the American Hockey League this past season.
The Sound Tigers averaged nearly 5,000 fans per game this season and boasted the second highest average attendance in team history behind the 2004-05 season. The Sound Tigers eclipsed 5,800 fans 10 times during the 2011-12 campaign, including a season-high 7,696 fans at the team's annual Cool Fun 101 event on Nov. 2, 2011.
"This speaks volumes to the support our team and organization have from the community," said Sound Tigers Team President Howard Saffan. "Our markedly increased attendance is just another example of what was a great season for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on and off the ice."'
