Schedule for President's Cup Final Announced

SAINT JOHN, NB - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has unveiled the schedule for the 2012 President's Cup championship series between the Saint John Sea Dogs and Rimouski Oceanic.

The defending champion Sea Dogs have advanced to the final for the third straight season after Stanislav Galiev's overtime goal lifted them to a 4-3 win over the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in Game 5 of their semifinal series Saturday.

Saint John will take on the Oceanic, who clinched their semifinal series against the Halifax Mooseheads with a 3-2 win in overtime in Game 6 Sunday.

As regular-season champions, the top-seeded Sea Dogs will open the series at home Friday. The game will be televised nationally by Sportsnet and have a start time of 8 p.m. Game 2 is set for 7 p.m. Saturday before the series shifts to Rimouski for Games 3 and 4 (and 5, if necessary). If necessary, Games 6 and 7 would be back in the Port City.
