
Jefferies Transferred To New Orleans; Krick Trasnferred To Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced today that C Jake Jefferies has been transferred to the New Orleans Zephyrs, effective Saturday April 28, 2012. In a corresponding move, C Taylor Krick has been transferred from Jupiter to the Jacksonville Suns. Krick is available for Saturday's contest in Jacksonville, Fla. The Suns roster still remains at 24 out of the possible 25 maximum for the time being.
Jefferies, who played in seven games for the Suns in 2012, hit .188 with two RBI in 17 plate appearances.
Krick, who started off the season for the Jupiter Hammerheads, hit .300 with three RBI in 20 plate appearances. Krick was acquired by the Marlins as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He will be assigned a number upon arrival in Jacksonville.
