Admirals Open Conference Semifinals against Connecticut Whale on Wednesday

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals will open the second round of the 2012 Calder Cup Playoffs on Wednesday, May 2, at Norfolk Scope Arena, as they begin a best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Connecticut Whale.
The Admirals defeated the Manchester Monarchs in four games to win their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Series, finishing the series with a three games to one lead after tonight's 4-3 overtime victory in Manchester. Norfolk is the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference after finishing the 2011-12 regular season with a 55-18-1-2 record for 113 points.
The Whale swept the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in three games to win their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Series, three games to none. Connecticut is the #6 seed in the Eastern Conference after finishing the 2011-12 regular season with a 36-26-7-7 record for 86 points.
The Admirals won all four games against the Whale during the 2011-12 regular season. Norfolk and Connecticut have never met in the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Fans should use tickets labeled "Game C" for the game on Wednesday, May 2, at Norfolk Scope Arena. Fans should use tickets labeled "Game D" for the game on Friday, May 4, at Norfolk Scope Arena.
If Games 6 and 7 at Norfolk Scope Arena are necessary, fans should use tickets labeled "Game E" for the game on Friday, May 11, and "Game F" for the game on Sunday, May 13.
Tickets are on sale now at the Scope Box Office, any Ticketmaster Outlet, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online at ticketmaster.com. The Scope Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m., or 10:00 a.m. through game time on Admirals game days.
Individual ticket prices for the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs are $21.50 for Gold, $18.50 for Red and $16.50 for White. Fans receive a discount when purchasing playoff tickets in advance of the day of the game, with $18 tickets for Gold, $15 tickets for Red and $13 tickets for White. In addition, 10-seat corporate boxes are available for $310 per game by contacting the Admirals at (757) 640-1212.
