American Hockey League Announces Suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced today that the American Hockey League has suspended Monarchs right wing Justin Johnson for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions prior to Manchester's game vs. the Norfolk Admirals on April 25.

Johnson will miss Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series between the teams tonight (April 27) in Manchester.

The AHL has also announced that Bridgeport Sound Tigers head coach Brent Thompson has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of his actions following a game against the Connecticut Whale on April 22.

As Bridgeport's season has concluded, Thompson's suspension will carry over to the 2012-13 regular season.

The Monarchs host the Admirals in Game 4 of the 2012 Calder Cup Eastern Conference Quarterfinals best-of-five series at 7:00 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday, April 27.
