Isotopes Take Sunday Marathon, 11-10

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Albuquerque Isotopes (10-8) took their sixth straight win with an 11-10 victory over the Oklahoma City RedHawks (12-6) in a five-hour, 14-inning game before 4,994 Sunday afternoon at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Isotopes reliever Josh Wall (1-0) dealt two shutout innings with one hit and one strikeout in the winning decision. RedHawks reliever Sergio Perez (1-1) allowed the game-winning run in the 14th inning for the losing decision. Brent Leach (1) saved the game with a one-hit 14th inning.
The RedHawks used five relievers behind the Triple-A debut start of Ross Seaton, who allowed six runs, five earned, with seven hits in four and two-thirds innings. Albuquerque used seven relievers behind starter Stephen Fife, who allowed five runs, seven hits and eight walks in four and two-thirds innings.
The RedHawks opened a 4-0 lead with a first inning Brett Wallace RBI single, second inning Jimmy Paredes double and sacrifice flies from Paredes and Landon Powell in the third inning.
Albuquerque broke through against Seaton with a six-run fourth inning, including a two-run single by Jeff Baisley and a grand slam home run from Josh Bard for a 6-4 Isotopes lead.
Oklahoma City got within a run in the fifth inning when Brad Snyder walked and later scored on a wild pitch for a 6-5 score. The RedHawks gained the lead with a two-run seventh inning. Scott Moore tied the game 6-6 on an RBI double and Brian Bixler knocked in the go-ahead run with an infield single for a 7-6 score.
In the eighth inning, Albuquerque scored four runs against reliever Xavier Cedeno. Josh Bard scored on a throwing error and tied the game 7-7. Alex Castellanos drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and Jerry Sands doubled in another run for a 9-7 Isotopes lead. Albuquerque made it 10-7 with a Jeff Baisley RBI single.
The RedHawks tied the score 10-10 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Carlos Corporan belted a three-run home run off reliever Scott Rice.
Albuquerque pushed across the winning run in the 14th inning. Josh Fields led off with a triple and scored on a two-out infield hit by Tim Federowicz for an 11-10 score.
