Ducks Return Crunch Captain

Syracuse, N.Y. (April 11, 2012) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have returned defenseman Nate Guenin to the Crunch.

Guenin, 29, appeared in 15 games with the Ducks this season scoring two goals and recording six penalty minutes. The defenseman has played in 27 games for the Crunch this season recording five points (all assists) and 16 penalty minutes. Guenin, named Crunch captain on October 21, 2011 was acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Trevor Smith on January 4, 2011. Guenin was originally drafted by the New York Rangers in the fourth round, 127th overall, of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch conclude their regular season home schedule against the Whale on April 14, faceoff is at 7:30 p.m. Both season tickets and single game tickets can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located at the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at (315) 473- 4444.
