Niagara IceDogs News Release
The Niagara IceDogs are pleased to announce the signing of 2011 OHL Priority Selection Anthony DiFruscia.
DiFuscia was the IceDogs second round pick, 40th overall in 2011, when the IceDogs drafted him from the Welland Tigers where he put up 50 goals and 52 assists for 102 points in 59 games during his draft season.
The Welland native spent this past season at Salisbury School in Salisbury, Connecticut where he played for the Crimson Knights varsity hockey team.
"We are extremely excited to have Anthony as a part of our organization," said IceDogs Head Coach and General Manager Marty Williamson. "He would have been a first round pick last year, but he had some decisions he had to make. He ended up deciding on the IceDogs and we are extremely happy he did."
The entire IceDogs organization would like to congratulate Anthony on his signing and we look forward to seeing him in an IceDogs uniform next season!
