K-Wings Sirota Named Reebok Hockey Player of the Month

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, two-time defending North Division Champions, reigning Eastern Conference Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils and American Hockey League's Albany Devils, announce forward Nick Sirota has been named the ECHL's Reebok Hockey Player of the Month for March.

Scoring in 13 out the K-Wings 15 games in March, Sirota posted 17 points (10 goals, 7 assists) in the last month of the regular season.

Highlighting the month of March, Sirota posted an ECHL season-high nine-game goal streak. The nine-game streak ties the forward for the sixth-longest point streak in league history. Sirota's 10-goal month also helped the third-year pro finish second on the K-Wings in goals scored with 23.

Sirota kept his touch in April, scoring in game one of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals last night against Wheeling.

Kalamazoo and Wheeling will continue their Best-of Five Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with game two tonight, Wednesday, April 4th at the WesBanko Arena.

The K-Wings will return home to Wings Stadium on Friday, April 6th at 7:30 p.m. versus the Nailers in game three of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. During all first round games, the K-Wings are offering special Fan Appreciation 25-cent hot dogs.

Tickets for the K-Wings round one playoff games are $16.05 and $19.95 for adults, $15.05 for seniors (62 years and older) and military (with proper ID) and only $10.05 for kids ages 12 and under. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single game tickets in advance because tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $1.
