
Oil Kings Sweep Ice in WHL Eastern Conference Quarter-Final

Edmonton Oil Kings News Release
Edmonton, AB - By virtue of a 4-0 sweep of the defending WHL Champion Kootenay Ice, the Edmonton Oil Kings have advanced to the second round of the 2012 WHL Playoffs. The playoff series victory is the first in modern franchise history and the first time the Oil Kings have advanced past the opening round since 1973. The first two games of the Eastern Conference Semi-final at Rexall Place will be the following:
Game 1 vs TBD - Friday, April 6, 2012 @ 7:00 p.m.
Game 2 - vs TBD - Saturday, April 7, 2012 @ 6:00 p.m.
Tickets for the first two confirmed games of the series go on sale TOMORROW - Friday March 30th at 10:00 a.m. and are available at oilkings.ca or by calling (780) 414-GOAL (4625). The 2012 Oil Kings Playoffs are presented by ATB Financial.
Oil Kings Season Seats for 2012-13 are on sale now and start at less than $14 per game. Fans can secure their seat for next season with a $100 deposit per seat and as an added bonus, they'll receive the next round of playoffs FREE.
