Taylor Earns Shutout In Heat Loss

Houston, TX - The Abbotsford Heat dropped a 1-0 decision in the shootout against the Houston Aeros as Danny Taylor and his counterpart both earned shutouts. Abbotsford completed the season series against Houston earning 12 of a possible 16 points with a record of (5-1-0-2).

The netminders were the story in Houston as both stopped all shots directed their way through regulation-time, overtime, and the first five shooters in the shootout. It was the sixth skater in the skills competition that earned the victory for the Aeros while the Heat skaters were unable to put one into the Aeros' net.

Danny Taylor made his second straight start stopping all 21 shots fired his way to earn the shutout - his third of the season.

Abbotsford will finish their current road trip on Monday against the Texas Stars. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:30 PDT with the pre-game show starting at 5:15PM on Country 107.1, theAHL.com and via the Rogers Radio App on your wireless device.
