Rafters Fireworks Show Dates Announced for 2012

Wisconsin Rapids, WI-March 9, 2012. With the snow melting and summer rapidly approaching, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have announced four post-game fireworks shows for the 2012 season.

On Saturday, June 2nd the Rafters will host the Eau Claire Express at 6:05 p.m. with gates opening at 5:05 p.m. for the contest. Be sure to stick around following the game as Bull's Eye Credit Union will sponsor the first fireworks extravaganza of the 2012 season.

Two weeks later, in the first match-up against the defending Northwoods League Champion Battle Creek Bombers, Budweiser will be the presenting sponsor of post-game fireworks. Game time is 6:05 p.m. and gates will open at 5:05 p.m. for the game on June 16th.

The Rafters and Marshfield Clinic will partner together for the Tuesday, July 3rd contest between the Rafters and the Madison Mallards. Gates will open a 6:05 p.m. for the 7:05 p.m. start, and following the game fans will be treated to a fabulous fireworks display to start the Fourth of July festivities.

The Rafters will close out their season with a three game home stand against the newest member of the Northwoods League, the Lakehore Chinooks. Saturday, August 11th will begin fan appreciation weekend as the Rafters take on the Chinooks at 6:05 p.m. Following the game Veolia Environmental Services will host the last fireworks spectacular of the season.

Tickets for these special fireworks nights are included in each one of the Rafters' 9-game packages for the 2012 season, which are currently on sale at the Rafters Office. Single game tickets for this season will go on sale beginning Saturday, April 28th.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Rafters will play a 70 game schedule with 35 home games in 2012. Opening Day at historic Witter Field is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30th at 7:05 pm against the La Crosse Loggers.
