PEORIA, IL - As the 30th Anniversary 2012 season approaches, the Peoria Chiefs have announced that single game tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 29 at 10:00 a.m. Fans that come down to the Box Office have the opportunity to celebrate Leap Year with a "Buy Four, Get One Free" Ticket offer. This Leap Year offer is only available at the Box Office on February 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are available in three methods: At the Peoria Chiefs Box Office from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm on February 29; online at www.peoriachiefs.com; and through Ticket Return's toll free number at 1-866-MYTICKET from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. Tickets will remain available nonstop over the internet while the Box Office, which can be reached at 309-680-4008 will be open from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm every weekday until the season ends and over the Ticket Return number from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm all season.

The 2012 season is an exciting and unique season for the Chiefs. Not only does the 2012 season represent the 30th year in franchise history, but May 24 also marks the 10 year anniversary of the downtown Peoria Chiefs Stadium. The home portion of the season kicks off on Monday, April 9 as the Chiefs host Quad Cities at 6:30 p.m. The entire first Cubs-Cardinals rivalry series will include a throwback to 1983 prices with $3.50 Club Box Seats and $2.50 Lawn Seats while the Chiefs player wear 1983 Peoria Suns jerseys. Tickets for every regular season home game go on sale on the 29th and include weekday specials of Half Price Mondays, $1 hot dog, $1 soda and $1 ice cream sandwich Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays with $2 draft beers and $2 kids tickets on Sundays with run the bases and player autographs.

The 14 Fireworks nights for the 2012 season are: Saturday's May 12, May 26, June 9, June 16, June 23, July 14, July 28, August 4, and August 25. Non-Saturday Fireworks nights are: Thursday May 24, Wednesday, June 6, Friday, June 15, Tuesday, July 3 and Friday, August 31(Final Home Game). All games with scheduled fireworks shows will begin at 6:30 p.m. In addition fans will be invited to stay at Peoria Chiefs Stadium to watch the Jesse White Tumblers and the Peoria Riverfront Fireworks show following the 5:30 p.m. game against the Burlington Bees on Wednesday, July 4.

The 10th annual IPMR night which includes the Legend at the Ballpark will be on Saturday, June 9 as the Chiefs welcome Cubs Legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Ernie Banks to Peoria. Banks will throw out a first pitch and sign autographs with the proceeds going to IPMR. June 9 will also feature the third annual Dueling Pianos night at the ballpark.

The annual Jimmy Buffett Night promotion which features a post-game concert and fireworks is scheduled for Saturday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. as the Chiefs host the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Tampa Bay Rays). The Jimmy Buffett night post-game concert in 2012 will feature the Boat Drunks.

The World Famous San Diego Chicken will also be returning to Peoria for a performance on Friday, June 22 as the Chiefs host Quad Cities. The Chicken performed at the Chiefs game at Wrigley Field in 2010 but has not been to a game in Peoria since 2007. Other Entertainment Acts on the promo schedule include: Breakin BBoy McCoy on Friday, June 15, The Russian Bar Trio on Friday, July 13 and BirdZerk on Saturday, August 4.

One of the celebrities booked for a Chiefs game this season is Dennis Haskins, better known as Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell. Mr. Belding will be at Peoria Chiefs Stadium on Friday, June 8 as part of Teacher's Appreciation Night and will sign autographs and throw out a first pitch.

A T-shirt Giveaway series will highlight some of the greatest Chiefs players of the last 30 years. The T-shirts will be given away on Friday's: June 8, June 22, July 27 and August 17. The June 22 giveaway will be Cubs/Cardinals themed as the Chiefs host Quad Cities and will feature one t-shirt for Cubs fans and another for Cardinals fans.

Two concerts are already on the promotional schedule for the 2012 season. Trippin Billies, a Dave Matthews tribute band will perform after the Saturday, June 16 game as part of the 90s night promotion. The annual Faith & Family post game concert will be on Saturday, June 23 with the band to be announced at a future date.

Sunday home games will feature $2.00 kids tickets for kids 12 and under all season long and all the promotions and themes will be family focused with post-game autographs and kids run the bases. Sunday themes include: Cartoon Day (April 22), Sesame Street Day (May 27), Disney Day (June 10), Super Hero Day (June 17), Princess Day (July 1) and Homer's Birthday (August 5).

In addition to the 4th of July the Chiefs are home for Mother's Day on Sunday, May 13 as all mothers get in free, Father's Day on Sunday, June 17 as all fathers get in free and Memorial Day on Monday, May 28. The final home regular season game is scheduled for Friday, August 31 and will be Fan Appreciation Day.

Ticket prices for the 2012 season remain the same as they were in 2011: $10 for all seats in the Seating Bowl on non-fireworks nights and $7 for lawn seats in the Hy-Vee Hills. All Seating Bowl tickets will be $11 for fireworks nights. Season and group ticket prices are unchanged.
