Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

The Fighting Saints will try to bounce back against Team USA tonight at 6:00 p.m. CST after a frustrating loss to the Youngstown Phantoms on Friday evening. The Fighting Saints outshot the Phantoms 42-21 over the course of the game, but it was the Phantoms who pulled out the 3-2 victory. Tonight will be the first game in which the Fighting Saints take on Team US 's U17 squad, having defeated the U18 team once and lost to them in overtime as well.

Team USA (including the efforts of both the U17 and U18 teams) has compiled an impressive 12-3-1 record since December 10. The U17 squad (and Team USA as a whole) is led in scoring by Tyler Motte, who has put up 20 points in 17 USHL games. His 11 goals also lead Team USA.

The Fighting Saints will finish off their second three-game-in-three-day stretch over the past two weekends tomorrow afternoon in Muskegon, where they will take on the Lumberjacks at 4:15 p.m. CST. After completing their longest road trip of the season this weekend, the team will play nearly all of their games in February at home. The only exceptions are road games in Cedar Rapids and Waterloo.
