Maine Celtics News Release

South Portland, Maine (January 23, 2012) - On Saturday, January 28th Make-A-Wish Foundation(r) of Maine and the Red Claws will kick off Where's The Love?, a three-week Maine Mall event featuring make-and-take valentines. The Valentine workshop will open at noon, and from 3-5pm, Crusher and the entire Red Claws team will be on hand to sign valentines and coach kids in a hoop toss. Don't forget your camera.

Can't make it to the mall Saturday? Where's The Love? will take place in Center Court from noon-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays through Valentine's Day, as well as February 13th from 4-7pm. Make-A-Wish(r) volunteers will box up valentine purchases for the wrapping inept, and shoppers can make valentines or cards. Make-A-Wish(r) will collect extra valentines for a special delivery to residents at Scarborough Veterans Home and St. Joseph's in Portland on Valentine's Day as a way of giving back to the community and thanking the general public for supporting their cause.

Since the Red Claws have to return to the court, The Maine Mall will entice potential Valentine-makers by offering a giveaway of a week-long trip for 2 to Hawaii and gift card giveaways from February 1-14th for smart phone users. Scanning one of three valentine posters in the mall is all you need to do to enter. Still not in the valentine-decorating spirit? Get artistically inspired by the beautiful art created by local creative nonprofits as part of The Maine Mall's Expressing ME Arts on the Carts Walk. It may be cold outside, but creating cards for neighbors, supporting Maine Make-A-Wish kids, and appreciating local art will thaw anyone's winter blues.
