Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - After suffering one of their worst losses of the season last night in Cedar Rapids, the Fighting Saints will attempt to bounce back at home against the Indiana Ice tonight at 7:05 p.m. The Fighting Saints fell to the RoughRiders 7-2, and had been defeated in overtime the previous night by Team USA in Dubuque. The Ice are in second place in the Eastern Conference, five points ahead of the Fighting Saints with an equal number of games played.

The Ice got the best of the Fighting Saints in a two-game weekend series in Indianapolis on December 9 and 10. The Ice won 6-1 on Friday night, and the Fighting Saints could not complete a comeback on Saturday, falling 3-2 despite two late third period Dubuque goals. Daniil Tarasov leads the Indiana scoring attack, having potted 20 goals and contributed 42 points on the season.

The Fighting Saints will make their longest roadtrip of the season next weekend, travelling to Youngstown on Friday, Ann Arbor to play Team USA on Saturday, and finishing the weekend with a Sunday matchup in Muskegon. Hockey returns to Dubuque on Friday, February 3, when the Youngstown Phantoms travel to the Key City.

Pregame for tonight's game starts at 6:40 on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com.
