
Bighorns Acquire Will Blalock

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns have acquired Will Blalock as a returning player. In order to fill the spot on the roster, the Bighorns waived Doug Thomas.
During the 2009-10 NBA D-League season, Blalock played 28 games for the Bighorns, averaging 11.8 points and 7.4 assists per game. He was selected in the second round (60th overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons, where he played 14 games during the 2006-07 season.
Doug Thomas played 11 games with the Bighorns this season, averaging 6.6 points and 5.5 rebounds. Thomas played a total of 111 games with the Bighorns over three seasons. He recently attended the San Antonio Spurs training camp.
Fans can see Blalock in action when the Bighorns take on former head coach Eric Musselman and the Los Angeles D-Fenders, affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers, on Friday night at the Reno Events Center. The first 1,000 fans through the door will receive a Reno Bighorns fleece blanket.
