Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that they will be hosting a world junior semi-final party at the Horsepower Sports Bar and Grill located at the Barrie Molson Centre tonight.
The restaurant will also host a party for the gold medal game this Thursday.
Three Barrie Colts forwards will clash tonight at 9:00 p.m. when Team Canada takes on Team Russia in a re-match of last year's Gold Medal game.
Tanner Pearson (0g,4a) and Mark Scheifele (2g,1a) of Team Canada have combined for seven points in four games and will take on teammate Ivan Telegin of Team Russia who has one goal, one assist and leads the team with 12 penalty minutes.
Canada went a perfect 4-0 in the round-robin portion and now plays a Russian squad that barely edged the Czech Republic 2-1 in overtime Monday night in quarterfinal action.
The winner of this game will play the winner of the other semi-final between Team Sweden and Team Finland, which can also be seen starting tonight at 5:00 p.m.
The Barrie Colts host the Sudbury Wolves this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the BMC and will have their two newest players, Ryan O'Connor and Anthony Camara, in the lineup.
