Bradburn, Robertson Named 'Be True' Winners

BOISE, Idaho, December 15, 2011 - The Idaho Stampede, along with Commercial Tire, Cooper Tires and the Idaho Steelheads, have named Deb Bradburn (Kuna High School volleyball coach) and Collin Robertson (Centennial High School wrestling coach) as the week's "Be True to Your School" award winners. Coach Bradburn will be honored on-court at the Stampede game on December 17, while Robertson will be honored on January 21.
Below are excerpts from their nominations.
"Coach Robertson is the most selfless and giving educator or coach I have ever been around. He has a desire and passion to prepare his athletes for college and to be productive members of the community."
"I have been on many teams and have had many coaches, and no one is more inspiring, joyful or respectful than Deb Bradburn is. I have a new perspective on my attitude and my schoolwork. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be where I am now."
The "Be True to Your School" program allows local fans to nominate a deserving high school athletics coach for recognition. The winning coaches will be invited to a game at CenturyLink Arena to be honored and the athletics department at the winner's school will receive a $1,000 from Commercial Tire and Cooper Tires. In all, $20,000 will be donated to area schools during 2011-12.
