Energy Rally to Beat Sioux Falls 97-95 in Preseason Game

DES MOINES, IA - The 2011 NBA D-League Champion Iowa Energy overcame a 12 point 4th quarter deficit to defeat the Sioux Falls Skyforce 97-95 in a preseason game Saturday night.

Sioux Falls led 78-66 after three quarters, but Iowa used timely shooting and tight defense to outscore their conference rivals 31-17 in the final stanza to clinch the victory.

Forward Andrew Drevo led Iowa with 15 points and 8 rebounds while guard Brandon Ewing added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Reserves Michael Tveidt and Nick Murphy added 11 points each in the win.

The Skyforce were led by Casey Mitchell, who finished with 26 points in including 5 of 7 shooting from 3-point land. Former Energy player Charles Garcia added 16 points and 11 rebounds for Sioux Falls.

Iowa made only 3 of 18 shots from behind the 3-point arc on the night, but shot ten more free throws than the Skyforce in the game.
