Baysox Collect Warm Clothes

October 25, 2011 - Eastern League (EL) Bowie Baysox

BOWIE, Md - The Bowie Baysox announce today that Prince George's Stadium will serve as a collection point for warm clothes donations in conjunction with Louie's Holiday Hope. Starting Tuesday, Nov. 1, the team invites fans to bring gently used winter coats and other warm clothing to the Baysox front office to donate to local families in need.

Baysox Marketing Director Brandan Kaiser helped come up with the idea for the coat drive. "Over the years, Louie's Holiday Hope has helped dozens of local families in need and our fans have been a huge help through their donations," Kaiser said. "We think that collecting warm clothes to provide to families in need throughout the community will help us to reach our goal of helping 25 families this year."

Louie's Holiday Hope began in 2007 and touched 20 families with 60 children last year. This year, the team hopes to help 25 families and to include warm clothes in the aid packages they provide. If fans would like to donate warm clothes to the program, they can drop them off at Prince George's Stadium during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Baysox Baseball - We'll Knock Your 'Sox Off. The final weekend of Tulip Gulch's Psycho Safari Haunted House is approaching as the show is open Friday Oct. 28 through Halloween Monday, Oct. 31. The Baysox open their 20th season at Prince George's Stadium Thursday, April 5.
