Jenkins Re-Signs with Stampede

BOISE, Idaho, October 24, 2011 - Willie Jenkins (6-6, 219, Tennessee Tech) has re-signed with the NBA Development League and will report to training camp with the Idaho Stampede for training camp, which begins November 14, the organization announced today.

Jenkins, who was selected in the 7th round of the 2010 NBA Development League draft with the 112th overall selection, averaged 7.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 50 games - he was the lone Stampeder to play 50 games all for Idaho in 2010.

"We are excited to have Willie back for 2011-12," Stampede Head Coach Randy Livingston said. "He's a hard-nosed, tough ballplayer and we think he can help us win games."

Jenkins is originally from Flint, Michigan, hometown of such college and former NBA stars as Glen Rice, Morris Peterson, and Mateen Cleaves. Jenkins scored a season-high in 2010-11 with 20 points at Utah on Feb. 21.
