Saints to Host "Pink the Rink" Against Breast Cancer

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The rival Waterloo Black Hawks won't be the only opponent that the Fighting Saints take on when they return to the Mystique Community Ice Center on Friday night. The Fighting Saints organization has once again partnered with The Finley Hospital for the team's "Pink the Rink" game that will raise money for the fight against breast cancer.

The Fighting Saints will wear custom pink jerseys in support of the cause. All player jerseys will be auctioned either during the game at silent auction, or postgame in a live auction. Proceeds from the jersey auctions will be donated to the Finley Health Foundation. Additionally, fans may purchase tickets at DubuqueFightingSaints.com/groups to have a portion of the ticket price go to the Foundation. Fans wishing to do so should go to the group ticket portal on DubuqueFightingSaints.com and enter the special code "finley".

The Finley Health Foundation provides financial support to the Finley Hospital through fundraising throughout the Tri-State community, and is partnering with the Fighting Saints for the second consecutive year. The Foundation has benefited the battle against cancer in particular by continuing to upgrade the technology at the Wendt Regional Cancer Center, which serves over 20,000 people each year.

Doors open at 6 p.m. on Friday and the puck will drop at 7:05. The game will be the final chance for Fighting Saints fans to see the team in Dubuque before they begin an extended stretch on the road. After Friday's game, the Fighting Saints will play ten of eleven games outside of Dubuque, with the only exception being a November 4 matchup against Chicago.
