
Reinforcements Arrive for Home Opener

SAINT JOHN - With several veteran players pursuing opportunities at NHL camps, the Saint John Sea Dogs have called in some reinforcements for the early part of the season.
The team has signed defenceman Rory Craddock, 19, as a free agent, and recalled affiliate forwards Danny Wicks, Kraig Pasher, Mackenzie Brown, Dylan McGuigan and Stephen Anderson.
The Sea Dogs have 13 players invited to NHL camps, including 10 who have already departed.
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season opens at Harbour Station tonight when the Sea Dogs take on the rival Moncton Wildcats. This festive Founding Partners Championship Celebration Night will be sponsored Irving Oil and Moosehead Breweries and feature the MasterCard Memorial Cup at centre ice for a pre-game ceremony alongside the QMJHL President's Cup and the Brunswick News Rivalry Cup. This game will feature a pre-game Fan Festival from 4 to 6 p.m., with a live music, a barbecue, and a tailgate-party atmosphere on the West side of Harbour Station.
