Stingrays Welcome Back Dolan and Langeraap

August 12, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL) South Carolina Stingrays

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that the team has re-signed forward Sean Dolan and agreed to terms with forward Chase Langeraap. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Dolan, 23, dressed in four regular-season games with the Stingrays last season earning one assist and four playoff contests tallying three points (1g, 2a). The St. Louis, Missouri native joined the Stingrays after completing his senior season at the University of Wisconsin.

While with the Badgers, Dolan grabbed 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points in 143 games. The 6-foot-3, 199-pound forward served as the team captain during his final campaign and netted a collegiate career-high seven goals and nine assists for 16 points in 41 contests. Before jumping to the NCAA, Dolan skated for three seasons in the USHL with the Indiana Ice, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Chicago Steel grabbing 58 points (32g, 26a) in 157 games. Dolan was also a member of the USA Hockey 18 & Under Junior Select Team and won bronze at the 2006 Viking Cup in Camrose, Alberta.

Langeraap, 24, recorded two goals in eight games for the Stingrays last season and appeared in three playoff contests acquiring two penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, the Cayuga, Ontario native buried 17 goals and 27 assists for 44 points in 107 games with the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
