Walleye Unveil 2011-12 Promotional Schedule

(TOLEDO, OH) - The Toledo Walleye are pleased to announce the team's promotional schedule for the 2011-12 season. The Walleye will open their third season at the Huntington Center on Saturday, October 15 vs. the Chicago Express at 7:00 p.m.

There will be a post-game skate after every Sunday home game at the Huntington Center as well as kids' design-a-sign, and Chuck-a-Puck (proceeds going to local youth hockey and local charities).

Also returning this season will be the ever popular post-game party with the players after every Friday home game in the Lighthouse Lounge on the Club Level.

Holiday Promotions

Among the Holiday promotions this season include "Turkey Tomorrow" night on Wednesday, November 23 as the first 1,000 fans will receive a special turkey hat. Back by popular demand, "Ugly Holiday Sweater Night" is set for Friday, December 30 and as a bonus, the first 5,000 fans will receive a 2012 calendar. On Sunday, March 18, wear green in celebration of St. CatTrick's Day.

October Promotions

On October 15, the Walleye will celebrate Opening Night with a Fish Tailgate party presented by The Blade and fans will receive a 2011-12 magnet schedule. The first 3,000 fans to the Huntington Center on Saturday, October 22 will receive a Walleye rally towel.

November Promotions

The month of November features a 10:30 a.m. contest on Wednesday, November 9 for School Celebration Day and the kids will take home a special Walleye school folder. Friday, November 11 is Military Appreciation Night and the team will be wearing special patriotic jerseys with a post-game auction following the contest. The first 4,000 fans to the Huntington Center on Saturday, November 12 will receive their very own glow stick. Take a break from your shopping and wear your black clothing on Friday, November 25 in honor of Black Friday and the first 1,000 fans will receive a mystery door buster prize.

December Promotions

The always popular Teddy Bear Toss presented by BCSN will occur on Friday, December 2 and fans are encouraged to toss a stuffed animal on the ice when the Walleye score their first goal. On Saturday, December 3, the amazing Quick Change act will make their first visit to the Huntington Center. Sunday, December 11 will feature a visit by Santa Claus himself and the first 1,000 fans will get their very own Santa hat!

January Promotions

January promotions include a fishing lure giveaway to the first 1,000 fans on Saturday, January 7. On Friday, January 13, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Friday the 13th hockey mask. Friday, January 27 will feature another glow stick giveaway to the first 4,000 fans. Back again for the third straight season will be Toledo Hockey History Night on Saturday, January 28 and the players will wear throwback retro jerseys to be auctioned off after the game. Also, the first 1,000 fans will get their own mini pennant.

February Promotions

Golfers won't want to miss the golf tee giveaway (1st 1,000 adults) on Friday, February 24. NASCAR Night is set for Saturday, February 25 and the players will wear special racing jerseys to be auctioned off after the game. On Sunday, February 26, the first 3,000 fans will get "Spikey" rubber gloves.

March Promotions

The Huntington Center ice will be dyed pink for the games on Friday, March 2 and Sunday, March 4 for the 3rd annual Pink In The Rink weekend. Fans will have the chance to bid on game-used equipment and sticks on Saturday, March 24 and will also feature a wacky wig giveaway for the 1st 3,000 fans.
