
Captains Start Nine-Game Home Stand Wednesday

Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the 2010 Midwest League Champions and Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will begin a nine-game home stand beginning Wednesday as the Quad Cities River Bandits and Cedar Rapids Kernels make their only scheduled appearance at Classic Park for the next two seasons. The Bowling Green Hot Rods return to Classic Park as well next week.
Wednesday night is Wine and Wings Wednesday, featuring specials on wings and a wine tasting from a featured winery. Wednesday night's game is also Feed Your Face Night where fans can purchase a ticket and food package for only $18 that includes all-you-can-eat hot dogs, fries, onion rings, popcorn and chips. Game time is 7PM.
Thursday is a Camp Day with a special 11 AM start. There will be special kid oriented activities including a splash zone. Kids will get to run the bases after the game as well.
Friday is 7 PM start and is a Fireworks Friday as fans will enjoy a post-game fireworks extravaganza presented by Larmco Windows and Siding. WWE Superstar "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase will be live and in-person that night and he will be participating in several events during the game and will also be available for autographs.
Italian Heritage Night is also Friday and the Captains will feature traditional Italian fare including Cavatelli, Meatball Subs, Pasta with Meatballs and Connolis. There will be a pre-game bocce ball tournament, Miss Italia will be in attendance and Italian themed music will be played throughout the night.
Saturday is a 7 PM start and is a Saturday Fireworks night presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Christmas in July is Saturday and Classic Park will be decorated accordingly while fans enjoy Great Lakes Christmas Ale and many other activities. The first 1,500 fans will receive a bobble doll featuring Skipper's nose stuck to a foul pole. The giveaway is part of the "Captains Story" series of Bobbles that the Captains introduced last year with the popular Skipper Leg Bobble Lamp as the team pays homage to The Christmas Story House located in Cleveland. The evening will also include post-game player Testimonies of Faith and a post-game concert by the Shaun Easton Band in Left Field Picnic Plaza as part of Faith Night presented by 95.5 the FISH.
Sunday is an Andrews Osborne Academy Family Fun Sunday and will feature a pre-game player autograph session, expanded concourse entertainment and activities, an enhanced Kids' Zone area with new inflatables and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. Kids who run the bases after the game will receive an Andrews Osborne Academy water bottle.
A 2010 Championship Team Set Card will be given away to the first 700 fans on Sunday, presented by the Disabled American Veterans. The first 100 fans who ride their bicycle to the game will receive a free ticket courtesy of The Lake County Achieve Program. Game time is 1 PM.
Monday is Buck Night presented by PNC and will feature $1 Five Star Brand Hot Dogs, fries, chips, onion rings, popcorn, soda and beer. It is Slovenian Heritage Night and traditional Slovenian food will be served and Slovenian music will be played. Game time is 7 PM.
