SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Giants return home for a seven-game homestand beginning Monday, July 4 at 6:30 PM. The Giants will host the Modesto Nuts for a three-game set July 4-6 and will conclude the homestand with a four-game series versus the Bakersfield Blaze July 7-10. The season's seventh homestand of 2011 will be full of exciting promotions, family fun and some great baseball.
Promotions and Special Events:
Independence Day Celebration: Monday, July 4 and Tuesday, July 5 are the San Jose Giants Independence Day Celebrations at 6:30 PM at Municipal Stadium. The players will be wearing special Stars & Stripes jerseys and caps for the game. The specialty caps are red with a white front panel that features the American Flag design etched into the SJ insignia. The jerseys will be white with red lettering and the Stars & Stripes etched into the Giants.
Postgame Fireworks Extravaganza presented by Comcast: Comcast is sponsoring the Postgame Fireworks Extravaganza immediately following the game on Monday, July 4. The Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza is sold out.
Alaska Airlines Trip and Thunderstick Giveaway: Alaska Airlines is giving one lucky fan two roundtrip airline vouchers during Monday's game. The first 1,000 fans to enter the gates will receive San Jose Giants Thundersticks, presented by Alaska Airlines.
Great Clips Charity Cuts: Great Clips stylists will be providing free haircuts to our fans on Monday, July 4. Donations collected will go to the Giants Sports Foundation.
Comcast Hometown Network Televising Live: Watch two games during this homestand live, Monday, July 4 at 6:30 PM and Wednesday, July 6 at 7:00 PM, on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 throughout most Northern California regions. After the initial live broadcast, the game will also be available for cable customers to view anytime through Comcast On Demand Channel 1.
Postgame Fireworks Extravaganza presented by Comcast: Didn't get enough fireworks on July 4th? Come to Municipal Stadium and enjoy another Postgame Fireworks Extravaganza presented by Comcast immediately following the game on Tuesday, July 5. There are still plenty of great seats available for the July 5 game and fireworks celebration.

Pepsi Max Tour: Pepsi Max will be at Municipal Stadium on Tuesday, July 5 with free samples for Giants fans.
Merchant Night: Wednesday, July 6 will be a Merchant Night, so be on the lookout at local businesses and stores for complimentary tickets to the game.
OSH Merchant Night: The Merchant Night festivities continue Thursday, July 7 with Orchard Supply Hardware Merchant Nights. Fans can pick up free admission tickets at participating OSH stores one week prior to selected dates. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, while quantities last. Pepsi Pregame Clinic: Pepsi and the San Jose Giants have joined forces to present a clinic prior to the game Saturday, July 9. Bring your glove and learn the fundamentals of baseball from a handful of San Jose Giants players. Registration begins 2 1/2 hours prior to first pitch at the first base side entrance next to the player's lot. After the clinic, participants will watch the instructors put their words into action as the Giants take on the Bakersfield Blaze. Comcast Coverage: The San Jose Giants and Comcast have once again joined forces to bring fans an expanded schedule of 25 LIVE television broadcasts during the 2011 season. The games can be viewed live on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 throughout most Northern California regions. Tune in and catch Joe Ritzo call all the action on Monday, July 4 and Wednesday, July 6 as the Giants take on the Modesto Nuts.
The LIVE games will be replayed several times on Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104), and will also be available any time of the day or night via Comcast's popular ON DEMAND platform, which is free to Comcast digital customers. To view California League baseball games ON DEMAND, Comcast Digital Cable customers can tune to Channel 1 on their Digital Cable lineup or press the ON DEMAND button on their remote control, then click on the "Get Local" section, then click on "Comcast Hometown" then select "Cal League Baseball."
