Every two seconds, someone needs blood. To help with that need, LewisGale Medical Center, the American Red Cross, and the Salem Red Sox are teaming up this Thursday for the annual Salem Red Sox Blood Drive from 1-6 pm.
By participating in the Blood Drive, you will receive a free t-shirt, a ticket to any 2011 Salem Red Sox regular season home game, and of course, you save a life.
The drive takes place this Thursday at LewisGale Field from 1-6 pm. For an appointment, sign up online at RedCrossBlood.org and enter passcode 2135, or call 1-800-REDCROSS.
Donor eligibility involves minimum age, weight, and health requirements, along with a presentation of a donor card or positive ID upon donation. Call the Red Cross for details.
