DES MOINES, IA, April 18, 2011 - When the Iowa Energy host the Utah Flash in game 2 of their 1st round playoff game Monday night, fans in attendance will have even more reason to cheer every time the Energy score. Local Burger King franchisee MKMB Restaurants will provide all fans in attendance a free Whopper sandwich if the Energy reach 100 points. The offer will be good at participating Burger King restaurants.

"We did this promotion last year and it was an absolute hit," said Energy GM Chris Makris. "Our fans were chanting Whopper, Whopper, Whopper as we got close to the 100 point mark, and of course we all know how it ended."

With the Energy stuck at 98 points in last season's "Whopper Night", star guard Othyus Jeffers nailed a 30-foot shot at the buzzer to send the crowd into a frenzy. Jeffers was recently signed by the Washington Wizards, so any heroics will have to come from another source this year.

"We've been scoring a lot of points this year, but the playoffs are a different ball game. I'm sure fans will have some fun trying to get us over the 100 point mark," added Makris.

Tickets for Monday's 7pm playoff game are on sale at www.IowaNBA.com, by calling 564-8550 or at the arena box office. An Energy win on Monday would advance the team to the league semifinals. If the Energy come up short on Monday, a decisive game 3 with Utah will be played Tuesday night in Des Moines at 7pm.
