PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws (13-21) renewed their rivalry with the Springfield Armor (10-22) tonight in Portland in the eighth meeting between the two clubs this season. With a solid defensive effort in front of the sold out home crowd, the Red Claws defeated the Armor 90-80.

Maine's two newest additions to the roster made all the difference as center Bamba Fall and guard Lewis Clinch helped stabilize a Red Claws team that had lost four in a row. The 7-1 Fall picked up 13 points and 9 rebounds while also blocking four shots in his home debut and second overall game with Maine.

The Armor, looking for their first win at the Portland Expo in franchise history, led the entire first half, only to see the Red Claws dominate the second, including a 13-2 run in the fourth quarter.

Maine's 2011 NBA D-League All-Star DeShawn Sims led all scorers with 25 points while adding 8 rebounds. Mario West, tonight's adidas Player of the Game, finished the night with 19 points and 3 steals while rookie guard Jamar Smith added 18 points and a pair of steals of his own.

JamesOn Curry contributed 18 points for the Armor, while Springfield center Gavin Edwards finished with 14 and forward Jarvis Gunter kicked in 12 in the losing effort.

The two teams will go at it again Sunday afternoon at the Portland Expo at 1 PM.
