Anaheim Ducks Assign Matt Beleskey and Dan Sexton

Syracuse, NY (January 26, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have assigned left wing Matt Beleskey and right wing Dan Sexton to the Crunch.

Beleskey, 22, has appeared in 14 games for the Crunch this season, collecting 12 points (6g, 6a) and 22 penalty minutes and leads the team in power play goals (5). He has also skated in 27 games with Anaheim this year, tallying 10 points (3g, 7a) and 32 penalty minutes. A native of Windsor, Ontario, Beleskey appeared in 257 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) contests with Belleville from 2004-08 prior to turning pro, accumulating 221 points (98g, 123a) and 467 penalty minutes. He was selected by Anaheim in the fourth round, 112th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Sexton, 23, has appeared in 14 games with the Crunch this season, notching 15 points (7g, 8a) and four penalty minutes and ranks third on the club among active players in power play scoring with seven points (1g, 6a). He has also skated in 26 games with Anaheim this year, registering six points (3g, 3a) and two penalty minutes. A native of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Sexton appeared in 76 games in two seasons with Bowling Green (CCHA) from 2007-09, recording 60 points (24g, 36a) and 34 penalty minutes. He was signed by the Ducks as a free agent on April 7, 2009.

The Crunch continue their five-game home stand on Wednesday, January 26 vs. Houston at 7:00 p.m. at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena.
