UPCOMING GAMES AND PROMOTIONS

Tuesday, January 25 - Augusta at Columbus, 7:30 PM EST (Season Series vs. AUG: 2-4(1))

The Snakes host the Augusta RiverHawks on Tuesday night in a game that was originally scheduled for last Monday, January 17. The Snakes and 'Hawks are tied for fourth place in the SPHL standings although Columbus has the better winning percentage with a game in hand on Augusta. The home team had won each game of the series so far this season until a 4-3 Augusta win in overtime at the Snake Pit on January 7. This marks the final game between the Snakes and RiverHawks in Columbus this season; the Cottonmouths still have two games scheduled at the James Brown Arena in Augusta on February 4 and March 25.

PROMOTIONS: Business and Industry Night-show your business card or company ID badge and get buy one get one free upper level tickets at the box office. $2 beer; Georgia Lottery Night-one lucky fan, 18+, will win $500 in instant win tickets while hundreds of other fans will take home tshirts!

Friday/Saturday, January 28/29 - Columbus at Huntsville, 8:35 PM EST (both nights) (Season Series vs. HSV: 1-4(0))

The Snakes will travel to the Von Braun Center in Huntsville this weekend for the first time since November 5. Columbus is 0-2 against the Havoc and will be looking to snap a Huntsville home winning streak against the Snakes that has spanned two seasons; the last Cottonmouths victory on VBC ice was on March 21, 2009 in the 2008-09 regular season finale. Like the Snakes of late, the Havoc have also been bitten by the injury bug; forward Stephen Margeson, whose 19 goals are tops among all Huntsville players, was placed on the 30-day injured reserve last week. Columbus may be seeing a familiar face in a Havoc sweater this weekend as forward Brent Clarke, who the Snakes waived earlier this month, was signed to a three-game tryout by Huntsville last week.
