
Iowa Energy Sign Nick Nurse to One Year Extension

Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Energy today announced the signing of Head Coach Nick Nurse to a one-year contract extension through the 2010-11 season.. Nurse, the only coach in the team's history, has compiled a 90-67 record in three years with the Energy. During that time, the Energy have won two division titles.
"I am really excited to get the season started and try to defend our divisional title," said Nurse. "We will have a good nucleus of former players returning which will give us another competitive and exciting team."
Iowa's 2010-11 schedule features 20 of 24 home games on the weekend, including the home opener on Saturday, November 20th.
"Nick has been a huge part of our success, and we are extremely excited to have him back. Our organization has a goal to bring to title to Des Moines, and having Nick at the helm gives us a great opportunity to do so," said Energy Managing Owner Jerry Crawford.
