Everblades Bring Roster to 13 with Deeth Signing

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that rookie forward Kevin Deeth has signed a contract for the 2010-11 season.

Deeth will make his professional debut this season with the Everblades after wrapping up a four-year collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame. The 23-year-old finished off his senior season by posting the second most assists on the club and overall with 19 points (3g, 16a) and 38 penalty minutes in 37 games.

As a junior in 2008-09, Deeth helped the Fighting Irish to the CCHA Conference Championship by skating in all 40 games, notching 31 points (4g, 27a) and 32 PIM. His point total ranked fourth on the team and he led the squad in assists.

"Kevin is a real good all around player, with good speed and vision," Poss said. "He had a real strong collegiate career and we expect him to be able to contribute both offensively and defensively."

The Gig Harbor, Washington native helped guide Notre Dame to the NCAA Frozen Four championship game during his sophomore campaign by registering 25 points (11g, 14a) and 36 PIM in 45 games. Three of his goals that season came in the NCAA Tournament including the Fighting Irish's lone goal in the championship game versus Boston College.

As a freshman in 2006-07, the 5-foot-7, 170 pound centerman put together his strongest season at UND. He helped the Fighting Irish to the school's first ever CCHA Conference Championship finishing third on the team in scoring by tallying a career-high 17 goals and 39 points while playing in 42 games.

Overall in his four-year collegiate career Deeth recorded 114 points (35g, 79a), 130 PIM and finished a plus-36 in 164 games.
