
Rainiers Ready for Another Trip to the Postseason

Tacoma, WA - The Tacoma Rainiers are headed back to the playoffs after clinching the team's second consecutive Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division title. The victory marks the first time Tacoma has won back-to-back division titles since 1981-82 and is the team's 13th playoff berth since 1960.
The Rainiers will once again enter the Pacific Conference Playoffs facing Pacific Southern Division champions Sacramento, who handed Tacoma a first-round defeat in 2009. The River Cats host the first two games of the best-of-five series. The first game is set to begin at 7:05pm on Wednesday, September 8, with the second game scheduled for 7:05pm on Thursday, September 9.
The series then shifts to Seattle as the Rainiers host the final three games of the Pacific Conference Playoffs at Safeco Field while Cheney Stadium undergoes a $30 million offseason renovation. The games are scheduled to take place on Friday, September 10 at 7pm, Saturday, September 11 at 12pm (if necessary) and Sunday, September 12 at 7pm (if necessary).
The Rainiers are slated to send right-hander Andy Baldwin (9-7, 4.90) to the mound in the series opener on Wednesday, with right-hander Blake Beavan (2-2, 6.47) getting the start in Game 2. Left-hander Mauricio Robles (3-1, 3.54) will open for Tacoma at Safeco Field with right-hander Yusmeiro Petit (4-2, 4.85) and left-hander Ryan Feierabend (4-7, 5.30) rounding out the rest of the Rainiers postseason rotation.
Tickets for the Rainiers playoff games at Safeco Field are currently on sale and can be purchased at www.tacomarainiers.com, at the Rainiers front office, located at 1804 W. Union Ave. from 10am-5pm, or by calling (253) 752-7707.
Tickets are $20 for Box and Field seats, $25 for Charter Seats, and $30 for Diamond Club. Tickets will also be available for purchase through the Mariners Box Office from 10am to 6pm, at Seattle Mariners Team Stores, online at www.mariners.com or by calling (206) 622-HITS.
Parking will be available in the Safeco Field parking garage for $10 per car. Rainiers playoff t-shirts and other 2010 commemorative gear will be available for purchase at Safeco Field on the day of the game.
Each of the Rainiers 2010 playoff games can be heard live on South Sound Sports 850-AM, with the pre-game show starting 15 minutes prior to first pitch.
