Monarchs Announce 2010-11 Promotional Schedule

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have released the team's 2010-11 promotional schedule featuring their annual New Year's Eve Celebration and Max's Birthday, as well as Pink In The Rink, Monarchs President Darren Abbott announced today.
Individual tickets for the 2010-11 season will go on sale to the public on Monday, September 20 at 9:30 a.m. and can be purchased by logging onto www.manchestermonarchs.com, by visiting the Verizon Wireless Arena Box Office or through Ticketmaster. Monarchs Ticket Package Holders are invited to visit the lobby of the Verizon Wireless Arena on Monday, September 20 and Tuesday, September 21 between 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 22 between 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. to pick up their ticket packages.
The annual New Year's Eve indoor fireworks show will be held on Friday, December 31, following the Monarchs game against the Providence Bruins. The first 3,000 fans on New Year's Eve will also receive Monarchs Glow In The Dark Thunderstix, courtesy of Manchester Subaru. Max's Birthday celebration will be on Sunday, February 13 when his friends, Monarchs fans and the ZOOperstars wish him a Happy 10th Birthday. The Monarchs will also bring back Max & Cheese for Opening Night on Saturday, October 16 where fans are asked to bring a box of macaroni and cheese to the game, use it as a noise maker and then donate it to the New Hampshire Food Bank following the game.
The Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Monarchs, is teaming up with Catholic Medical Center to raise awareness and donations to fight Breast Cancer with Pink In The Rink on Saturday, January 22. Sunday games throughout the season will also be Sunday Fundays with a Fan Fest on the plaza of the Verizon Wireless Arena from 1:00-2:30 p.m. and kids (12 and under) will receive custom Silly Bandz.
"We are thrilled to be rolling out several exciting promotions for our celebratory 10th season in Manchester," said Abbott. "We will be celebrating 10 years in the Queen City throughout the season and we are introducing Sunday Fundays every time we play on a Sunday. It's going to be a fun and exciting season and we look forward to dropping the puck."
In addition, the first 5,000 fans in attendance at the Monarchs Home Opener on Saturday, October 16 will receive a 2010-11 magnetic schedule, courtesy of Ray The Mover. On Friday, November 5, the first 2,000 kids (12 and under) will receive a collectible Monarchs lunch box, courtesy of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. The team will hold their first School Day Game on Wednesday, November 17 at 11:00 a.m. when the Verizon Wireless Arena will become the state's largest classroom.
The first 2,000 kids (12 and under) to the game on Saturday, February 19 will receive a Max toothbrush holder, courtesy of Northeast Delta Dental and the first 2,000 kids (12 and under) on Friday, February 25 will receive a "Fun to the Max" picture frame, courtesy of St. Mary's Bank. The Monarchs will say thank you to their fans with Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, April 8 and the first 3,000 fans will receive aluminum water bottles, courtesy of Pepsi.
The Monarchs are proud to continue their Winning Weekdays promotion this season. When the Monarchs win at home on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, fans will once again have the opportunity to redeem their game ticket for a free ticket for the next Winning Weekday game. The five Winning Weekday games this season are Wednesday, November 17; Tuesday, December 21; Monday, December 27; Wednesday, January 26 and Wednesday, February 9.
In addition, the Monarchs Care Foundation will continue to utilize its fans with its charitable efforts including the Teaming Up For Warmth Coat Drive where fans, in conjunction with E&R Cleaners, are encouraged to bring unwanted coats for families in need on Saturday, November 13, and the Toys For Tots Toy Drive where fans can bring a new, unwrapped toy for children in need on Saturday, November 27. The Teddy Bear Toss on Sunday, December 12, allows fans to throw stuffed animals onto the ice to be given to local charities. The final home game of the regular season on Friday, April 8 will feature the Monarchs annual Shirt Off Our Back promotion where the players' jerseys will be raffled off during the game and winners will meet the team when they receive their jersey at the end of the game.
