Dan Brooks and Evan Levy Added to Staff

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has named Dan Brooks as an Assistant Coach and Evan Levy as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Peoria Rivermen.

Brooks, 43, joins current Peoria assistant Drake Berehowsky and begins his professional coaching career with the Rivermen after 14 seasons as an assistant coach at both the major junior and collegiate levels. He spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

He coached under Guy Boucher in 2008-09, who won the AHL's coach of the year award with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2009-10 and was named head coach of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning on June 8. Brooks and Boucher guided the team to a franchise-best 54 wins and 112 points as well as a President's Cup championship and a trip to the Memorial Cup.

Prior to joining Drummondville, he was a member of the Brown University coaching staff for six seasons, five of which were spent as the top assistant.

Levy, 23, is entering his first season as the strength and conditioning coach for the Peoria Rivermen. Prior to joining the Rivermen, Levy was working at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning (MBSC) in Woburn, Mass. At MBSC, Levy trained college and professional athletes during the off-season and also assisted the Anaheim Ducks with their 2010 preseason prospect camp. Levy is a St. Louis native and grew up playing youth hockey in the St. Louis area. He went on to play college hockey at Lake Forest College, Chicago, IL.
