Chivas USA's Osael Romero Called up for International Duty Next Week

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, August 30, 2010) - Chivas USA midfielder Osael Romero has been called up to play for the Salvadoran National Team for the upcoming international friendly matches next week against Honduras on Sept. 4th at the Los Angeles Coliseum, and against Guatemala on Sept. 7th at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. Romero will miss the MLS-league game against the Colorado Rapids on Sept. 4th at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Denver, CO.

Romero has been called up by El Salvador head coach José Luis Rugamas and will join El Salvador's training camp on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd in Los Angeles and will return with the Red-and-White on Wednesday, Sept. 8th, ahead of the Sept. 10th match against the New England Revolution.

After defeating D.C. United on Sunday night, Chivas USA faces the Seattle Sounders FC in the U.S. Open Cup Semifinals on Wednesday at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Wash. at 7:30 p.m. PT (Game will be broadcast online at SoundersFC.com ).
