RH Brandon McCarthy (2-0, 2.48) vs. RH Bryan Augenstein (5-7, 6.68)

TONIGHT: Brandon McCarthy makes a rehab start as the RedHawks look to take 3 out of 4 from the Reno Aces (Arizona Diamondbacks). The Aces won last night 5-3, scoring all their runs in the first 4 innings against Guillermo Moscoso. McCarthy is on the Rangers' 60-day DL with right shoulder inflammation and will be making is first appearance since June 19. The RedHawks are 4-3 on the homestand that ends tonight.

DIVISION LEAD STAYS AT 4: The top 3 teams in the RedHawks' division lost last night, so the RedHawks remain 4 games up on Albuquerque and 5.5 ahead of New Orleans in the American South. The magic number for OKC to clinch is 16 with 19 games remaining including tonight. OKC, Albuquerque and third-place New Orleans have all had 1 game cancelled because of rain, so each will play 143 if all remaining games are played.
