HICKORY, NC - The Charleston RiverDogs struck for five runs after five scoreless innings, defeating the Hickory Crawdads, 5-0, before 888 fans at L.P. Frans Stadium on Monday night.

With the game scoreless through the first five frames, the RiverDogs (57-62, 26-24) finally broke through against Crawdads starter RHP Jake Brigham (3-4, 2.90 ERA) in the top of the sixth. 2B Emerson Landoni led off the inning with a double to right-center field and later scored on an RBI single to right by RF DeAngelo Mack, putting Charleston on the board, 1-0.

The RiverDogs expanded upon their lead in the seventh inning with four more runs (only one earned) against Brigham and RHP Johan Yan.
